Last week, Patrick Thunstrom shared an amazing, inspiring video. I haven’t been able to stop thinking about it.
For anyone who has ever been afraid to start a project or change direction in life, this is for you.
Whether you’re looking at a new career path, writing/art project, health routine, relationship, or anything that means change in your life (even the small things can feel daunting), this video may inspire you to say “F**k it, let’s do it!” or “F**k it, let’s do this thing!”
Or maybe “Let’s do this thing!”
You know, however you roll.
As long as you say it like you mean it. Say it loud and proud or soft and threatening.
Say it like Bruce Willis says “Yippee Ki Yay” in Die Hard.
One of my favorite lines from this: “I realize that my past failures at follow-through are no indication of my future performance. They’re just healthy little fires that are gonna warm up my…” Yeah, that really hits home for me.
So, let’s dust of our FILDIs, FILDTTs and YKYMFs (you know, the Die Hard line) and get rolling.
How do you get yourself revved up for a new path or project?
Bonus questions: What’s your battle cry or what’s your favorite quote (movie, tv show, novel, etc) that qualifies as a battle cry?
Thanks for this share, Sonia. I’m working on a video project right now, and I’d forgotten the magic that happens when words and picture combine.
So glad I’m spreading Ze Frank love. He’s awesome.
LOVED IT! LOVED IT! LOVED IT! Thanks for sharing 🙂
Back when I free lanced for a living, I was asked that question: “What motivates you to get up and start writing at five o’clock every morning?” My answer was simple. “An empty refrigerator,” I said.
@Janet: Absolutely!
@Patrck: Thanks for getting me hooked. 😀
@Lorijo: You’re totally welcome. It definitely inspired me.
@Caleb: LOL. That’s pretty good motivation.
ӏ know!? Stated Larry. ?I bet he likes angels as
a rеsult of he has thᥱm round all of the time.
Perhaps he andd the angᥱls plaʏ household games
like we do sometimеs. Perhaps they pay Monopoly.? This made
Mommy snort really hard.
Sometimes angels can be really annoying though. Like the ones that are always singing old pop songs. Off key. Really, really annoying.
