Those of you who’ve been visiting me here for a little while might have guessed I really dig the cello. It’s a sound that crawls right into your bones and echoes through your blood.
As a beginning cellist and music lover, I find inspiration in a variety of musical places. Today, I offer you one of my favorites, Brooklyn Duo playing a cello and piano cover of Metallica’s Nothing Else Matters:
Sonia G Medeiros writes. A lot. Mostly fantasy, contemporary fantasy, sci fi and horror. She’s the author of more than a dozen short stories and flash fiction pieces.
At the moment, she’s working on her first novel about a man who finds a room where he can do anything he desires, anything at all, with no consequences in the outside world.
When she’s not in the labyrinth of her imagination, wandering down the twisting corridors or lingering in the dark alleys waiting for unsuspecting passersby, she spins tales by the fire with her husband, their two children, and a motley assortment of four-legged friends.

Now, that’s different! Would never have imagined I’d hear Metallica from an instrument I’ve only heard play classical tunes. Cool beans! 🙆
I know! It sounds so beautiful on the cello. I love that unexpected beauty. 😊
A very nice cover. Reminds me of the time Metallica played this song with an orchestra.
I haven’t heard that version! I’ll look it up. Thanks. 🙂
